
Artist Rafat Mossadeghi
Rafat Mossadeghi's paintings have been described by art critics as inspirational, whether impressionistic or representational in style. Her themes stem from nature, village scenes or from fascinating faces of our global community.
Throughout the years, Rafat has exhibited in countless of exhibitions, galleries, cultural centers and private showings. Her first European exhibition was held in 1977 at the prestigious galleries of Madam Mode in Geneva Switzerland. This show was described by media as a "Grand Success" and helped firmly established Rafat Mossadeghi's reputation in the European international artists' art world.
Rafat was honored with the First Place award in Cannes France during the 1977 group competition. She then garnered further top honors in 1978 Monte Carlo group competition, Vichy and again at 1979 Canes France events.
During the 1980's Rafat continued exhibiting her work through out Europe in cities such as Paris, Monte Carlo, Cannes, Nice and Geneva.
Since moving to the United States, Rafat has had numerous successful exhibits and private showings throughout the Washington D.C. metro area, including a group showing of her paintings at the Washington Convention Center and a private exhibit at the Women's Art Club
In the 1990's Rafat's work continued to win prizes at the local art contests. Her paintings were on Exhibit at the "Touch of Art" Gallery in Old Town Alexandria, VA. for several years.
